  About St. Joe's - Tuition

Annual tuition and fees are determined each year by the Pastor, Parish Finance Council, School Board and Principal with the objective of keeping tuition and fees as affordable to as many families as possible. To achieve this objective, St. Joe’s receives assistance from both the Home & School Association (HSA) and St. John’s Cathedral.

The HSA, which is made up of all the parents of current students, helps to keep tuition low by committing to raising a certain amount annually through fundraising. The income generated from these fundraisers is applied directly to the operating budget for St. Joe’s. This is why supporting these fundraising efforts with your time, talent and treasure is of the utmost importance ! For more information about the HSA please click here.

There are two ways that St. John’s Cathedral, through the generosity of the parishioners, contributes to the school.

First, a reduced tuition subsidy may be offered to Catholic families that qualify by meeting each of these requirements:
  • Registered in a parish prior to the registration due date
  • Uses parish offertory envelopes regularly
  • Active in the parish as determined by the pastor

Second, financial aid in the form of a tuition grant is offered to Catholic families who apply for assistance. Consideration for a tuition grant may be given after submitting the following documents prior to the registration deadline. Your sealed envelope containing the following should be sent to the school office Attn: Tuition Grant Committee:

  • St. Joe’s Tuition Grant Application (available through the school office)
  • A letter of explanation
  • A copy of the parents’ most current Federal Income Tax Return Form 1040 and accompanying schedules.

Your information is kept confidential and is reviewed only by the Tuition Grant Committee.
