Good afternoon St. Joseph’s Families,
Happy Wednesday to all! We are sending out our weekly newsletter early this week as our students do not have school on Thursday, October 22nd or Friday, October 23rd. We have virtual parent teacher conferences on those days.
St. Joseph’s will implement our plan for full on-site learning beginning Monday, October 26th. We have a good plan in place to continue to practice social distancing, wear masks and sanitize our learning areas. Currently, we have some families who have chosen distance learning – we have 10 students who will be learning from home.
I will be sending an email to our St. Joseph’s families on Thursday, October 22nd with specific details on what to expect for next week.
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be virtual this year. They will be held on Thursday, October 22nd and Friday, October 23rd. Teachers. Middle school conferences will be quite different as homeroom teachers will be holding conferences. We apologize for the inconvenience, but our middle school teachers cannot conduct 150 virtual conferences. Students will not have school on those days.
In our 10th week of school, we have not had any students test positive for COVID-19. Praise God! Our families are doing great and keeping sick children home.
Current COVID tracking information for St. Joseph’s HERE.
If your family has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please keep all children home.
If you have a child sick at home, please keep siblings home – see Illness Decision Tree for Schools
We want to be able to continue our in person learning throughout the year and we need your help. We all need to practice the 3 W’s both in and out of school:
Wear a Mask – all people on our school campus must wear a mask
Wash your hands
Watch your distance when with others
If your family travels out of state during the remainder of the school year, we ask that you self-quarantine for three days following your return.
Thank you to those of you who have reached out. We still need two – three volunteers to cover lunch and recess duty. We need help from 11:30-1:00, Monday – Friday beginning Monday, October 26th. We can work in ½ hour shifts. Volunteers must have completed Safe Environment Training. Please email me if you are interested in helping out – email@example.com

St. John’s Parish/School Connection
Please continue to support St. John’s Parish or your local parish – donations have decreased since the onset of COVID-19 and we need to help our Catholic Parishes out more than ever. Please help us fill the Box of Joy packages for children in need. We partnered with St. John’s Parish last year and surpassed all expectations. Please see the information in this week’s bulletin.
Please reach out to me if you have questions or concerns. We are all in this together.
Thank you for being a part of our St. Joseph’s community. We appreciate you! Enjoy your weekend.
Take Care and God Bless,
St. Joseph’s Catholic School
