3.15.20 School Closure Information

Good afternoon St. Joseph’s Community,

Throughout the weekend several school districts in Idaho have closed due to the spread of COVID-19.  In order to decrease community spread, St. Joseph’s Catholic School will be closing as well starting on Monday, March 16th. The first three days of our closure will be treated as “snow days,” i.e. no instruction. We will begin delivering some distance learning on Thursday and Friday of this week.  I will stay in communication with you within the next few days updating you on our digital learning plan.

I will be in email contact with our community during spring break with any additional updates. We would like to have Monday and Tuesday as pick up days for textbooks and materials.  We will be ready for families to come in on Monday from 10:00 – 2:00 and Tuesday from 10:00 – 3:30. If these times do not work in your schedule, please let me know.

“Fear not beloved you are safe; take courage and be strong.” Daniel 10:19

Teachers and staff will work next week to prepare for distance learning.  We want to be prepared for an extended time of school closure, if it is warranted.  We would have extra time to deep clean and sanitize our buildings.

Thank you for your support, patience and your prayers!  Stay safe and healthy.

For Excellence in Catholic Education

Blessings,
