Good afternoon St. Joseph’s Families,
Happy Easter Week! I am so glad that the weather is warming up and will allow us to get outside and enjoy God’s gift of nature.
We are finishing up our third week of Distance Learning and things are getting a little easier for the teachers as they are adjusting to this new delivery method. I do hope that our students are settling into a routine as well. All of the teachers continue to work hard to provide content for our students’ learning. We know that things are not easy at home as you are having to guide that instruction- thank you for your efforts. Our main goal is to continue to provide instruction so students continue to learn. Teachers are evaluating our curricula across subject areas for the essential learning standards and content and skills that are non-negotiable /must complete – this is the focus of future content. Tomorrow, I will be sending out an email to families outlining grading for 4th quarter.
Please reach out to your child’s teacher or me if you have concerns. We are here to help and show each other Grace.
Volunteer Hours
As you know, we require 25 volunteer hours for each family per school year. If you have not done so, please log the hours that you have already completed. Due to the circumstances surrounding the school closure, we will waive the fee of $15 per hour for those hours not completed after March 16th. If you did not intend to volunteer, we will accept payment for un-worked volunteer hours at your discretion. A statement of your current, logged volunteer hours will be sent the first week of May. Please let me or Ms. Miller know if you have any questions.
We will get through this by working together and supporting one another. Please let us know if you need anything or we can help your family in any way. Thank you for being a part of St. Joseph’s Catholic School community. I will continue to pray for each of you and your families!
Yours for Excellence in Catholic Education
Blessings,
