4.2.20 Principal’s News

Happy Thursday St. Joseph’s Families,

We are into our first week of Distance Learning and the good news is that students are engaged in their classes and are learning. Students are actively participating in our new learning platform. All of the teachers are working hard to provide content for our students’ learning.

There have of course been some challenges and we will continue to work through them. Teachers might make some adjustments as we continue to navigate this new platform. From all accounts, St. Joseph’s is ahead of the curve on providing content for our students. Please reach out and thank your child’s teacher/teachers for all the work they are putting in – once again, they are going above and beyond to connect with our students!

I also wanted to let you know that St. John’s Cathedral Parish is working to stream daily Mass, weekend Masses and continue to provide religious education. Please take a look at all they have to offer through their Facebook page. Please continue to support the Parish as they are continuing to support St. Joseph’s School during this unprecedented time.

Tomorrow, I will be reaching out via email to get some feedback from our families on our first week of distance learning. Please take the short survey and let us know how things are going from the learning environment in your homes, what is going well and what we can continue to improve on – we are all learning and we are all in this together.

I want to leave you with a wonderful prayer from a Catholic App that I have on my phone – it always provides great reflection:

Each day brings news of My presence.
Look for these indications of My presence.
Become aware of My presence in your days.
I am here for you to discover.
When you have lost your faith,
Look for My presence each day
and believe in what you discover.
When you have doubts,
Trust in My actions
And have faith that I am with you.
When you are lost in your despair
Have hope from My presence,
As it will convince you of My goodness.
Do these, and your visions will become as Mine.
Your hope will focus on My goodness,
and your faith will withstand any assault. Amen

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your continued support of St. Joseph’s Catholic School.

May God keep you and your family healthy and safe.
