4.23.20 Principal’s News

Good afternoon St. Joseph’s Families,

I really miss all of our students! I am going to be popping in to the online meetings with our students so I can see them. Last week, I recorded myself reading a book for our kindergarten and 1st grade students. I am going to do that for 2nd grade as well before the week is out. I do hope you are able to get outside and enjoy our beautiful spring weather.

We are finishing up our fourth week of Distance Learning. Our teachers continue to work hard to provide lessons for student learning. I sent out an email last week about adjusting our grading for 4th quarter. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this.

Micron Match – For those of you who are affiliated with Micron – they have opened up a  2-for-1 donation match. If you have the ability of help out through this generous offer – it would be so very appreciated!

Volunteer Hours

As you know, we require 25 volunteer hours for each family per school year. If you have not done so, please log the hours that you have already completed. Due to the circumstances surrounding the school closure, we will waive the fee of $15 per hour for those hours not completed after March 16th.  If you did not intend to volunteer, we will accept payment for unworked volunteer hours at your discretion. A statement of your current, logged volunteer hours will be sent the first week of May. Please let me or Ms. Miller know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment and support of St. Joseph’s Catholic School. I will continue to pray for each of you and your families!  Please reach out to us if you need anything – we are here for you and we care about each of you.

Blessings,

Tammy Emerich
