Faculty Bio

Taya Sundell is a graduate of Boise State University where she received a BS in Anthropology and secondary certification in Social Studies Education. She advanced to receive a Master's of Science in Educational Technology. While perusing her advanced degree she was a graduate assistant and instructor in the BSU College of Education. As a graduate assistant she was a recipient of an American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education Microsoft Innovative Teachers Fellowship. As an undergraduate, her ​academic accomplishments included receiving the Anthropology Undergraduate Research Grant resulting in her co-authorship of an article published in The North American Archeologist. After completing her education, she began her teaching career at Eagle High School teaching US history and global studies. While away from teaching she remained active in her daughters' school, teaching art and chairing school fundraising events. Taya is a Boise native. She enjoys skiing and rafting with her two daughters and husband and also playing competitive tennis.
