Catholic Schools’ Week 2017


Please attend the State of the School address on Monday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. in the St. Joseph’s Catholic School gym.  I will be sharing progress toward our school goals and speaking about our future.

Catholic Schools Week is Jan. 29-Feb. 4.  We have many fun activities planned to celebrate our school.  Below are the activities and dress-up days:

  • Sunday “Celebrating Your Parish” Mass at St. John’s at 11:30 (Mr. Yanci’s classes/school choir)
  • Monday “Celebrating your Community” (SLE social):  Opening Prayer Service,  dress-up day Hawaiian day for Crab Feed
  • Tuesday “Celebrate your Students” (SLE academics): dress-up day–pajama day; cuddle up and read in your classes
  • Wednesday “Celebrating the Nation: (SLE citizenship):  Dress Up in Red, White, and Blue
  • Thursday “Celebrating Vocations” (SLE spiritual):  dress-up day–dress as your favorite saint–priests/sisters will come talk about vocations 
  • Friday “Celebrating Faculty, Staff and Volunteers” (SLE physical):  All City Mass at St. Mark’s (dress-up day–Mass dress/crazy socks and hats for assembly and sock hop); afternoon assembly and sock hop
  • Saturday “Celebrating Families” and First Reconciliation for 2nd grade

Crab Feed tickets go on sale on Monday, Jan. 30.  The Crab Feed will be Saturday, March 4.  The Crab Feed is St. Joseph’s Catholic School’s largest annual fundraiser.  It is also a great opportunity to have fun with other school families.  I hope you will join us for this great event.
