Duct tape the principal to a wall/Fundraising

Do you want to make a statement? Or, just participate in a new, fun activity?  If so, you have an opportunity to duct tape me to a wall.

On Sunday, Sept. 27 from 3-7 p.m. St. Joe’s is hosting Jaiak at Joe’s, our fall dinner and carnival.  One of the new activities is “Duct Tape a Person to the Wall.”  I will be the first participant (victim, volunteer, whatever you want to call it).

This year there is a Basque theme.  There will be food (chorizos, salad, chips, and drinks) and other fun new activities.  Please come join us at this fun event (just don’t hurt me).  This event is also a great opportunity to socialize with other members of the community.

The fall dinner and carnival is one of four main fundraisers at St. Joe’s School.  The other fundraisers are: the used uniform sale, Crab Feed, and Fun Run.

The major fundraiser is the “Crab Feed,” which will be on February, 20, 2016 at the Grove Hotel.  The Crab Feed is a dinner auction, and all parents are encouraged to come for an evening of fun to benefit the school.  Please save the date, and enjoy dinner, live and silent auctions, and community-building.  This event began as a Crab Feed and has evolved into a social night out for the St. Joe’s community.  While actual crab has become a minor part, FUN in support of St. Joe’s is still the goal.

Fundraising helps off-set our tuition costs.  We rely on these major events so we can limit the number of times we ask for money during the year.  Our Home and School Association (HSA) is instrumental in planning these events and arranging volunteer opportunities.

If you would like more information about HSA or our fundraising events, please contact me.  I hope to see you all at Jaiak at Joe’s!
