The 2016-17 school year is almost complete. We could not end the year without several celebrations to cap off a great year! Please take note of all of these important dates.
On Friday, May 12 at 8:15 a.m. we will have our Spring Awards Assembly for grades 5-8. At this assembly, we celebrate the accomplishments of our middle school students and recognize the great things they have achieved academically, and in service to their school and community.
The afternoon of May 12 is our Fun Run. The Fun Run is one of my favorite days at St. Joseph’s Catholic School each year! The students all get outside and get active in support of our school. Please come run with us!
Friday, May 19 is Field Day for students in grades 1-5. Again, this is a great opportunity to get students outside and get them active. Friday, May 19 is also the last day of traditional class for our 8th grade students.
On Monday, May 22 we will have the graduation Mass for our 8th grade students at 1 p.m.
Wednesday, May 24 at 9 a.m. is kindergarten graduation.
Friday, May 26 is the last day of school for grades 1-7. School is dismissed at 10 a.m. We have a powerful celebration as a school community on the last day of school. We close with a balloon rosary, and each class presents highlights from their year. At the conclusion of the celebration, students receive their final report cards. It is a special day that students should not miss!
I just returned to the office on Tuesday afternoon of this week. I am working to finalize staffing for next year, as well as class placements. We anticipate being able to post class lists for next year at the close of the school day on Friday, May 26 (10 a.m.). We are working to make sure that each student at St. Joseph’s Catholic School is in a class placement where they can grow spiritually, academically, and physically. Thank you for your support and patience with this process.
