Idaho Tax Appeal

Last week, you received St. Joseph’s Catholic School’s fall newsletter and information regarding the Idaho Tax Appeal in your child’s folder.  I hope that you took time to read the information.

Parent and school board member, Joe Forney, outlined the fundraising that St. Joseph’s Catholic School does each year: used uniform sale (August/February), Fall Carnival (September), Catholic Schools Week (Jan. 29-Feb. 4, 2017) {this is not a St. Joe’s funding fundraiser; all donations will be given to “The Sisters of Charity”}, Crab Feed dinner and auction (March 4th), Fun Run (May).

As Joe states, “the Idaho State Education Tax Credit…is a very tax efficient way to donate and an important way for the school to get money.”  The letter provided a breakdown of tax credit families can realize through this credit.  For example, if an individual donates $2000 to St. Joseph’s School, they can save 35% ($700) through itemized deductions and 50% through the Idaho Education Credit ($1000).

You can take advantage of the Idaho Education Tax Credit Appeal through our online giving site, or through the envelope that went home last week.  Parents will be speaking about the Idaho Education Tax Credit in Mass in a couple of weeks.

If you did not receive a copy of the newsletter and Idaho Education Tax Credit letter, please let us know.  We want to share the good news of our school with you!

As always, thank you for your support of St. Joseph’s Catholic School.
