Thank you for supporting St. Joe’s
Your gift is an investment that enables St. Joe’s to provide the quality and variety of spiritual, academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular programs that give each student the opportunity to fulfill their full potential.
Every component of a St. Joe’s education is served by a successful annual fund. Thus, every student and program benefits from the money raised. Additionally, the annual fund allows donors to designate their gift to specific projects.
Donations made through this site should be fully deductible, as St. Joseph’s has not provided any goods or valuable services in exchange for your gift.
Please keep in mind that beyond the significant impact your donations have on St. Joseph’s Catholic School, they may be eligible for a 50% tax credit through the Idaho Education Tax Credit. This credit is available regardless if you itemize deductions. If you itemize, your gift allows income tax deductions on both your state and federal returns, plus the 50% Idaho income tax credit.
Any potential donor should consult with their tax advisor for details and applicability of the Idaho Education Tax Credit.

The Crab Feed is the major fundraiser for St. Joseph’s School. It is held each spring, and consists of a dessert, silent and live auction as well as an online auction. As part of the live auction, beautiful pieces of art made by your children will also be auctioned off as a one of a kind masterpiece. Last year, the Crab Feed raised $140,000 for St. Joseph’s School and $53,600 for Playtopia in the paddle raiser.
This option allows you to contribute financially toward a fund designated to address the highest area of need at St Joe’s at a given time. The highest need is determined by the St. Joseph’s School Board, Principal and Business Manager, and Rector of St. John’s Cathedral.
The Idaho Education Tax Credit lets you support Idaho Catholic schools with dollars you would otherwise pay on your Idaho Income Tax Return. By supporting St. Joe’s you can receive up to 50% of what you donate back as a tax credit. Please consult with your tax advisor and the chart below to consider supporting our school in this way!
Matching gifts occur when participating companies match (sometimes up to four times) the amount of dollars given to St. Joe’s by their employees and spouses, or retirees. The company matches the gift only after the donor has sent his or her gift to St. Joe’s along with the company’s matching gift form. These forms can be obtained from the personnel offices of most companies. Check with your personnel office to find out what kind of gifts they match.
The Nick Ysursa Memorial Scholarship Fund provides funds toward tuition for a deserving St. Joe’s 8th grade student who will attend Bishop Kelly High School. Nick Ysursa attended St. Joseph’s and graduated Bishop Kelly in 1970. He was an outstanding scholar and athlete who excelled at both. Nick attended ISU, and was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in 1974. He returned to Idaho in 1976 and received a law degree at the University of Idaho. Nick was tragically killed on Continental Flight 1713 on November 15, 1987. A scholarship was established in his memory in 1989.
The construction of Playtopia was completed at the beginning of the 2021 – 2022 school year. The funds raised by our capital campaign made it possible to create a safe and fun place to play. Students have been able to enjoy this play area each day, climbing on the crab trap, exploring the new play structure or running on the turf. You can still donate to help us reach our goal to fully fund this project.
The St. Joseph’s Parents Association (SJPA) is responsible for fundraising and coordinating a strong and active volunteer program. Each year, SJPA directs forward-funding monies to the school’s operating expenses.
Please help ensure the gift of a quality Catholic education by making a contribution to the Tuition Assistance fund.
