Mrs. George
My name is Annie George and I am the Student Support Coordinator at St. Joseph’s School. I get a lot of questions about that title and what I actually do every day at our school. I am thankful for this opportunity to share a little bit about my role as well as a new opportunity for our middle school students beginning next semester.
I graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education. I began my teaching career at St. Teresa’s Catholic School in Lincoln, NE in 2006. My family later moved to Boise and I started at St. Joseph’s School in 2018. As the Student Support Coordinator, I provide instructional support and special education to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. I believe that all students should have access to Catholic education and my position helps to make that possible here at St. Joe’s.
With that mission in mind, I am happy to share that we will be providing additional support for middle school students beginning in January. All middle school students will have the option to attend a supported study hall during the school day. This new class will be offered everyday during lunchtime recess. Students who choose to attend, can work on assignments, receive tutoring support, or take the time to get organized. Watch the bulletin for more details or email me if you have questions. georgea@stjoes.com Thank you!
