Happy Thursday St. Joseph’s Families,

Happy Easter! I hope you and your family had a blessed Easter surrounded by all that is cherished. Can you believe we only have five weeks of school left in the 2021-2022 school year? This is an especially busy time of the year as we make sure our students are continuing to grow in their faith and academic excellence. We also have fun activities planned during the last month of school!

Tomorrow, we will be sending out an email for parental input as we start planning for class placement for the 2022-2023 school year. This form gives you as parent/guardian an opportunity to express your thoughts and to contribute to the process of class placement. We do not take specific teacher requests but would like your input to help us best meet your child’s needs.   The form is optional and only needs to be completed if you have information you would like to share about your child.

We have adjusted our school calendar on two days. Thursday, May 26th will be our last day of school – 8:00-3:00. Graduation for our 8th grade students will be Tuesday, May 24th at 2:00 pm.

Good luck to all those competing at Science Olympiad on Saturday at BSU! You’ve worked very hard and we hope you have fun! Thank you to Mrs. McClure and all of the many volunteers who have generously given their time in helping our students! #gostjoes

Enrollment

Open Enrollment is now available for St. Joseph’s Catholic School. We will be accepting enrollment applications from now through the summer. Please share the good things we are doing at St. Joseph’s with other families – word of mouth is the best way to attract families to our amazing school.

Catholicity

Our 2nd – 8th grade students are taking the ARK test this week. The ARK test is an assessment for religious knowledge. These are the domains that are tested: Sacraments and Liturgy, the Creed, Morality, Prayer, Virtue and Living Discipleship. The faculty will also take the test next week.

School Mass

It is so wonderful that we all can worship together at Mass. On Tuesday, April 26th, 6th grade will host Mass. Mass dress is required for all students and staff – please remember that boys should wear a St. Joseph’s plaid tie. Mass attendance is required. Parents are invited to join us at Mass.
