Principal’s Blog 8.19.2022

Good afternoon St. Joe’s Families,

What a wonderful first week of school!  Speaking for all the staff and faculty, it was a true blessing to welcome our new families and to welcome back our returning families!   Assistant Principal Kuznia and I have felt embraced by our entire school community.  Thank you!

Mr. Yanci’s 8th grade class has prepared for our first Mass on Monday, August 22nd. Parents are welcome to join us for Mass in the Cathedral each Monday at 8:30 am. Students sit with their class and we ask parents to sit behind the students towards the back of the Cathedral.

Please review the SJCS Student & Parent Handbook regarding Mass attire, as well as uniform and grooming policies.  The homeroom teachers and the administrative team have reviewed and answered student questions pertaining to these topics.  On Monday, our homeroom teachers will start enforcing these policies.  We need your support in these matters.  Less time spent on uniform infractions allows for our teachers to focus on instruction (their passion)! Thank you for partnering with us to make our year go as smoothly as possible!

Our weekly Brave Saints Bulletin is our main source of communication with our school families. We ask that you take some time each week to stay informed and read the bulletin.

If you are a returning St. Joe’s family, please make sure that your SEW is current before volunteering.

If you are a new family, you will need to attend a Face to Face Safe Environment Workshop before you can volunteer in any capacity. Please see the SEW section of the bulletin for upcoming dates and RSVP details.

In Christ,

Randy McCormick
