Principal’s News 10.31.19

Good afternoon St. Joseph’s Families,

We have had a busy week – it is Red Ribbon Week and we have had dress days and meaningful activities. Today is Halloween and the students look great in their costumes. All the classes have Halloween parties this afternoon – it has been a very fun day!!

A student from Bishop Kelly has organized a Candy Donation after all the Halloween festivities! If you have “extra” candy that your child will not eat, bring it to the school and place it in the buckets placed in the front foyer. Here is a blurb from the flyer that is attached to this week’s newsletter – “The Knights of Columbus & Bishop Kelly High School, with our sponsor D&B, are collecting candy for those that cannot . . . the Halloween candy will be given to Boise’s City Light Home for Women and Children and the Ronald McDonald House.

Just a reminder, School Mass this week will be tomorrow -Friday, November 1st instead of Tuesday. Friday is All Saint’s Day. Please join us at Mass if you have the time. We will be celebrating our Students of the Month for October at our Tuesday, November 5th Mass – our focus this month is Spirituality – St. Joseph’s Students are friends of God, practicing Christian values, Catholic Faith and stewardship.

Thank you to those families who have picked up a Box of Joy to send to a child in need of a Christmas gift. We met our goal and filled all 75 boxes. Thank you so much for your generosity!

Thank you for being part of St. Joseph’s Catholic School and making this a wonderful Catholic community!

Blessings,

Tammy Emerich
