Good afternoon St. Joseph’s Families,
What a busy week we have had here at St. Joseph’s! We had a beautiful Mass on Tuesday unveiling our Saint for the 2019-2020 school year – Saint Kateri. Fr. Mariusz is back from Poland and will be blessing our entire school and each individual classroom tomorrow morning.
Here is a little more information on Saint Kateri. According to Catholic Online, St. Kateri Tekakwitha is the first Native American to be recognized as a saint by the Catholic Church. She was born in 1656, in the Mohawk village of Ossernenon.
She was a model of Christian Life and helped the elderly and sick. She saw in nature a reflection of God’s glory and beauty.
Just a reminder, student supervision begins at 7:30 AM each school day. Please do not drop students off earlier as no one is available to supervise the children before 7:30.
Academic Excellence
Classes are off to a great start this year. I am continuing my walk through observations and learning about all the great things going on in our school. We are truly blessed in so many ways!
I want to let you know that my door is always open to address any questions or concerns you might have. Please feel free to email me at emericht@stjoes.com or call and set up a time for us to meet.
Blessings,
