Good afternoon St. Joseph’s Families,
EXCITING NEWS! St. Joseph’s Playtopia! St. Joseph’s will be renovating our current playground – we will be adding some safety features and completely changing the play area for our students. This project will take place over the summer of 2020. We are starting a capital campaign to pay for this upgrade. I will be sending more specific information in an email on Friday. We are so excited to embark on this much needed renovation!!
It is with sadness that I make the announcement that Mr. Frank Aspiri and Mrs. Debby Moody will be retiring from St. Joseph’s Catholic School in May.
Mr. Aspiri has served as the music teacher at St. Joseph’s for 30 years! He started at St. Joseph’s on August 1, 2020. Frank has provided our St. Joseph’s students with an opportunity to learn music, play instruments, sing in the choir and praise God through song. But more than that, he has touched the lives of so many students through the gift of music! Mr. Aspiri has also served the school as our maintenance manager – Mr. Aspiri owns his own handyman service and we have been blessed to have him fix almost anything that has needed fixing. Mr. Aspiri’s optimism, spirituality and smile will be missed here at St. Joseph’s Catholic School.
Mrs. Debby Moody will also retire in May. She has assisted Mr. Aspiri in music class and has accompanied him by playing the piano in class and at Mass. Mrs. Moody has been a part of our St. Joseph’s family since August of 1999. Mrs. Moody also helps us out in the front office answering phones, the door and helping students.
We wish them both well in their retirement! They will both be greatly missed here at St. Joseph’s.
Enrollment for returning families. You will be receiving a re-enrollment email and link tomorrow. As discussed in the State of the School address this past week, tuition for the 2020-2021 school year for Catholic students will be $5,000 and non-Catholic students will be $6500. This is a 4% increase from last year.
Our State of the School Address took place on Tuesday, January 28th. Joe Forney, our school board chair, and I presented on the state of St. Joseph’s Catholic School. We discussed tuition/fees for the 2020-2021 school year, academic goals and performance. The slide presentation is available on our school website HERE >
