Principal’s Post 10.24.19

Good afternoon St. Joseph’s Families,

We have had another productive and fulfilling week here at St. Joseph’s! The book fair has been going on all week – Literacy is so important. What a great way to help students get excited about reading. Thank you for your support in our literacy efforts. A big thank you to Shannon Phillips and all the volunteers for putting on another great Book Fair!

Parent/Teacher conferences have been very well attended. Thank you for partnering with us as we all work to form our children in the Catholic tradition – strong Catholic Identity and Academic Excellence!

We have a busy upcoming week – it is Red Ribbon Week with many dress days and meaningful activities planned. Please see the schedule in the main part of the newsletter. It is also Halloween on Thursday – please follow the guidelines for costumes from your child’s teacher.

Just a reminder, School Mass this week will be on Friday, November 1st instead of Tuesday. Friday is All Saint’s Day. Please join us at Mass if you have the time. We will be celebrating our Students of the Month for October at our Tuesday, November 5th Mass – our focus this month is Spirituality – St. Joseph’s Students are friends of God, practicing Christian values, Catholic Faith and stewardship.

Thank you to those families who have picked up a Box of Joy to send to a child in need of a Christmas gift. We have handed out 60 boxes so far – there are still 15 boxes left. Boxes should be delivered back to the school by October 31st. The parish is in need of volunteers from Nov. 2nd – Nov. 10th to collect boxes – Please sign up on this Google Form if you are interested.

Thank you for being part of St. Joseph’s Catholic School and making this a wonderful Catholic community!

Blessings,

Tammy Emerich
