Principal’s Post 12.5.19

Good afternoon St. Joseph’s Families,

Happy Thursday! Can you believe it is already December 5th? Christmas break is just around the corner and we are almost half way through our school year.  Just a reminder to check your child’s grades in our PlusPortals system as our 2nd quarter ends on December 20th.

As embark on the Advent season, I would like to wish all of you an Advent Season full of Hope, Love, Joy and Peace!

To help our students fully participate in Advent, we offered the Sacrament of Reconciliation to our 3rd – 8th grade students on Wednesday. Fr. Mariusz, along with two other priests, assisted our students with this very important sacrament. To participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation as a family, here are the dates and times that are offered through St. John’s Parish:

  • Tuesdays at 12:45 pm
  • Saturdays from 3:00 – 4:40 pm

Some of our 7th and 8th grade students are participating in science fair on Friday, December 6th. Good luck to those students participating and thank you for your hard work on your projects!

Weather: As the temperatures continues to get colder, please help your child remember to bring a coat. We will be outside in the morning before school as long as the temperature is above 30 degrees – otherwise, we will be in the cafeteria. For morning and lunch recess, we will be outside with a temperature of 25 degrees or higher.

Upcoming dates to mark on your calendars:

  • Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 10th at 6:30 PM
  • End of 2nd quarter on Friday, December 20th – half day!

Blessings,

Tammy Emerich
