Principal’s Post – 5/31/18

Thank You!

First, thank you everyone for choosing to entrust us with your children every day.  We are so blessed to work with each student. I want to thank everyone for welcoming me into this community.  I feel so fortunate to learn and grow with the students this year. At the start of the year, I asked students, staff, and parents alike: “What makes St. Joseph’s special?”  Countless times throughout the year, I experienced first hand the responses: “We are family.” “Everyone is so welcoming.” “Communication and care are priorities.” “My children feel loved and safe, and for this I am grateful.”  “We can, no we are expected, to express and live our faith.” “We support one another through the good and the bad.” Thank you for being the community behind St. Joseph’s Catholic School. –God bless you all and have a wonderful summer, Tony Quilici.

Last Day

The students capped off the year with Balloon Rosary, honoring a boy and girl from each class who models the traits of St. Joseph, and the welcome to their new grade level.  Today was a great way to bookend a year focused on St. Joseph starting with a packed Mass with our dads, Godfathers, grandfathers, and father figures to ending with recognizing students living out and modeling the traits of St. Joseph.

Mass

Thank you to everyone who came see our Class of 2018 8th Grade off at our Graduation Mass.  I will be honest, I saw many of you at Bishop Kelly’s Baccalaureate Mass too, and the combination of masses for me, was bittersweet this year.  I am excited for this year’s 8th Grade Class, yet I was just getting to know them. Then, looking at Bishop Kelly’s Class of 2018, I am inspired to know our 51 8th Graders this year will have bright future ahead of them.  Currently 48 are headed to BK, 2 to North Jr. High, and 1 to East Jr. High. No matter where they go, I know they will do well. I am sure of it when looking at where the St. Joseph’s Class of 2014 (Bishop Kelly Class of 2018) are heading next fall: Click Here For Link.
