Mass

Thank you to Mrs. McClure and Mrs. Russell for their leadership with Mass.  We are dedicating our year to St. John the Evangelist as our model saint. Selecting John is symbolic of both his foundation in the Church and our partnership with St. John’s Cathedral Parish.  Thank you to everyone who joined us for Mass. Please know all are welcome each week. This week Deacon O’Neill challenges us to examine our insides. In reflection, Deacon O’Neill calls us to use words of encouragement instead of words of criticism. Link to Homily

Back to School Night

Thank you for your attendance at Back to School Night.  We hope this gave you a chance to get further insight into your student’s teacher, classroom(s), and day.

SafeStudents Online

This is for our families with students in grades 5-8.  You should have received a welcome email Tuesday. We are looking to get 100% participation.  If you have not enrolled, please do so. If you did not receive a welcome email, please let me know (quilicit@stjoes.com).

These accounts are per family, so if you have older students in high school, you can add these students as well.

If you still have questions, please feel free to view the video link below and call or email questions to myself (quilicit@stjoes.com) or our counselor Mrs. Porter (porterc@stjoes.com).

St. Joseph’s Legacy Golf Tournament

Thank you to all who participated this last weekend.  Everyone who came out and played or dined with us for lunch and dinner had a great time.  It was especially wonderful to see the teams playing the Legacy option with our students. We had kindergarten through middle school out on the course.  It was a great first year, and we look forward to an even larger turnout next year.

PlusPortals (Grades/Attendance)

Emails with access to PlusPortals have been sent.  If you have not logged in, you can do so following the instructions in the email.  If you have not received an email, please let Mrs. Granvall know by calling (208-342-4909) or emailing (granvalla@stjoes.com).  There is a free app called ParentPlus that you can add to your phone.

School Directory

PlusPortals has a digital directory for staff, students, and parents.  Student name, homeroom, and gender are available. Parent name, email, phone, and address are available.  If you do not want this information available in the school directory, select your name in the top right, select Directory Listing, uncheck to list information in the school directory.

PayForIt.Net

An email for each new student has been sent.  This email has the student name and an ID number to add the student to your PayForIt.Net account.  This account will allow parents to view transactions and balances and even add payment via credit card on a secure website.  The link to PayForIt.Net can be found on the school website under Quick Links and Food Calendar and from PlusPortals under School Links and Files.

Once an account is created, you can select “My Account” from the menu bar across the top and then select “My Email Options” and you can choose to get low balance emails, set the amount for a low balance email, and choose to receive regular balance emails.  Select “Update” when done to save changes.

If you have a new student and did not receive this email, please call the school or email Mrs. Granvall (granvalla@stjoes.com).  Once an account is established, there is a free app to monitor and use on phones and devices.  Credit card information is required to establish the account, but money does have to be transacted.  Lunch money can be added through the Front Office using cash and check.

Drop Off Before School

Due to the construction on the steps on the St. John’s Cathedral steps, the drive-up and drop off lane on 8th St. will be shifted from in front of the steps to past the alley in front of the gymnasium.  Link to Morning Drop Off Procedures

Pick Up After School

Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students will be checked out by their respective teachers in the classrooms.  Second grade is included this year due to the construction on the steps. Parents, family, and guardians picking up students will enter and leave from the school’s main entrance.  The last bell of the day rings at 3:00 pm.  We have closure prayer, and then students are dismissed.
