This year all of our students will be attending one morning Mass in the chapel at St. John’s to learn about the parts of Mass. Derrick O’Neill, a former St. Joe’s parent, is completing a project for his training to become a deacon. He offered to breakdown and explain the parts of the Mass for each class individually during the school year.
Before a class visits the morning Mass, Mr. O’Neill has St. John’s parishioners pray for those students by name. After the Mass, Mr. O’Neill gives the students a snack and answers their questions about Mass and the Catholic faith. It is a great opportunity for St. Joe’s students to have a different experience at St. John’s parish and to learn about their faith.
Thank you, Mr. O’Neill for organizing this! It is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn and grow in their faith.
