The St. Joseph’s Parents Association (SJPA) hosts several events throughout the year that strengthen our school community and provide vital support for our students and programs. 

As a St. Joe’s parent, you are automatically an SJPA member and part of this wonderful parent-led organization. All are welcome to attend SJPA’s monthly meetings, generally held the third Tuesday of each month. Please check the school’s weekly newsletter for more details on date, time and location.

Fall Carnival

September 26, 2026

Join us for our signature autumn celebration. The Fall Carnival features exciting rides, parent-run food booths, community games, and live music. A wonderful tradition that marks the perfect start to our academic year.

October 30, 2026

Lace up your running shoes! The Fun Run encourages health, fitness, and energetic school spirit. Students and families gather to walk, run, and complete laps to support our physical education programs.

One of our most popular adult-only social events. Indulge in fresh Dungeness crab, participate in our high-energy silent and live auctions, and hit the dance floor to support the SJPA funding commitments.

Our premier annual spring fundraiser. Spend a spectacular day on the green with fellow alumni, parents, and community friends, followed by a gourmet dinner, live auction, and legacy awards ceremony.

Volunteer Socials

Our Volunteer Socials are a fun, informal way to connect with other St. Joseph’s parents while learning about SJPA accomplishments and upcoming volunteer opportunities. Whether you’re a new family or a familiar face, these gatherings are a great chance to meet other parents, ask questions, and discover ways to get involved that fit your schedule and interests.

There’s no pressure and no long-term commitment—just good conversation, light refreshments, and a welcoming community. We hope you’ll join us and see how volunteering helps make our school such a special place for our students, teachers, and families.

Volunteer Hours

In order to ensure that St. Joseph’s Catholic School has accurate volunteer information, all families are required to complete a minimum of 25 hours of volunteer service per school year, 5 hours of which are related to fund-raising activities. A two (2) hour limit is placed on the recording of hours for the donation of baked goods to events. Please note your hours will be approved by the St. Joseph’s Registrar.

Volunteer Handbook

All volunteers who work with students are required to complete Safe Environment Training through VIRTUS Online and a background check.

If you are a first-time user, begin by creating a VIRTUS account, selecting St. Joseph’s/Diocese of Boise as your volunteer location, and completing the required registration steps. You will then be able to select an upcoming Safe Environment Training session, either instructor-led or available online.

Families may submit hours by using the link you received via email, or by submitting your hours through FACTS.

How to submit volunteer hours through FACTS:

  • Log in to FACTS
  • School Code: SJ-ID
  • Logging your hours is via your Family Portal (navigate to the Family section and locate the Service Hours log)
