Faculty Bio

Hello, my name is Mary McClure, born and raised in Kilkenny Ireland. My maiden name is Cassidy and I come from a family of 4 girls and 2 boys. I came to a small Catholic school in Temple Hills in Maryland after graduating from both the University College in Galway, Ireland and the University College Dublin, Ireland. I have taught in many states in the United States, including California and Indiana. While in Maryland, I met my husband, Brian, who was stationed at the Marine Corps barracks at 8th and I in downtown Washington D.C. We have 2 great young adults, Bregeen and Ronan, who are bi-coastal children. Bee was born in Maryland and Ronan in California. Both attended school here at St. Joe’s and Bishop Kelly. I have been blessed to teach here at St. Joe’s for the past 24 years, in middle school, in the science lab. One of my greatest joys is to visit with past students and hear their stories.. It certainly fills my bucket to know that I have had the opportunity to influence so many people over the years. My favorite things to do in my “free time” is to travel, to camp and be with family which includes our 2 dogs, Harold and Theodore. I also love bowling, a sport I picked up when I settled in Idaho.
