Faculty Bio

Kaixo or hello to all! I grew up in Elko, Nevada, to immigrant Basque parents and Basque culture and language, along with the Catholic faith have always been a huge part of my life. I earned a BA in Elementary Education from Boise State University, and I hold advanced religious education certification from the Diocese of Boise. I have been honored to teach at St. Joseph’s School since 1990. In that time there have been lots of changes, but one thing that has never changed is the feeling that everyone at school is part of a large family. And now that I have been here for so long, my former students are returning with their own children; and I am truly fortunate to be able to experience them. Teaching religion at St. Joseph’s is a vocation and I am lucky that I have been given the gift of taking part in sharing the faith with our young people.
